Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India has implemented E-Waste Management Rules 2016, which has come into force from 1st October 2016.
These rules shall apply to every producer, bulk consumer, consumer, collection centres, dealers, e-retailers, refurbisher, dismantler and recycler involved in manufacturing, sale, transfer, purchase, collection, processing and storage of certain Electrical and Electronic Equipment.
Responsibility of Producers & Consumers
Producer of Electrical and Electronic Equipment are responsible for collection and channelization of e-waste of end of life product and generated during manufacturing process. “Bulk Consumers” means bulk users of electrical and electronic equipment such as Central / State Government Departments, PSU, Banks, Education Institutions, Multinational Organizations, Partnership and Public or Private companies registered under factory act.
Consumers on their part are expected to ensure that all such electrical and electronic items are disposed (after their intended life/ usage) to E-Waste collection agencies or take-back services provided by the producer.
What is e-waste
e-waste means electrical and electronic equipment, whole or in part discarded as waster by the consumer or bulk consumer as well as rejects from manufacturing, refurbishment and repair processes
Such waste comprises of both usable and non usable material. Some of the waste if left unattended will be detrimental to environment. E waster may comprise of hazardous substances like lead, mercury, toxic material and gases.

We will ensure proper disposal of the same in compliance with regulations through authorized e-waster recycler.

Any consumer can call us Customer care representatives will explain you about the process of disposal and will share the nearest drop point location to drop e-waste and If any customer wants to handover the material from their door steps then we do send our recycler’s reverse logistic team to collect the items and channelize the same to our e-waste partner plant for the final processing.
